Cinema 4D Tutorial

February 11, 2014 § Leave a comment

We’ve moved onto Cinema 4D with Jay now and our first tutorial was learning a couple of basic skills. I’ve never used this programme before so I felt a little stupid as I didn’t know what anything meant, but after going through the tutorials slowly i’m starting to come to terms with some of the basics. It definitely is very technical but the thoughts on what great things you can design using Cinema 4D are endless.

We started by creating a 3D cube and learnt how to adjust height, width and create movement using grids. We then moved onto using a 3D circle and adding a map to it to create a globe effect. I was amazed at how realistic you can make things appear. Once again, it never fails to amaze me in these tutorials just how much time and effort is put into creating realistic objects.
