First attempt at the Icon Book

March 2, 2014 § Leave a comment

Over the Christmas holidays we were tasked to design our Icon Books. I’m not going to lie, finding time to put aside to create it whilst on vacation in Florida proved to be difficult, but after a lot of fighting with myself I got it done. Overall I felt like I had completely rushed the whole process, and the repercussions of this was it obviously wasn’t up to the standards I believe I could have achieved.

Here’s the book.

Freud and Baudrillard Icon Book

We got our feedback recently and I had got a C. Not bad, but obviously something I wouldn’t settle for.

Once I had got the time to fully review my book, I realised whilst trying to fit everything into 5 pages, the book lacked narrative. It had too much information crammed into it and truly needed more character. I’m now in the process of completely redesigning my Icon Book up to a standard i’m happy with.
